Black and White

Generally, my photos are color photos. Today, I captured a few black and white shots. How did I do?

Liberty Loop

Liberty Loop Wildlife Refuge is in Pine Island, New York. The 2.5-mile Liberty Loop Trail was created on a former sod farm, which before it was manipulated for agricultural use had been a forested wetland. The trail is co-aligned with the Appalachian Trail for 1 mile. The trail loops around a wetland and grassland management unit, providing an excellent opportunity to observe waterfowl and grassland birds. The trail is flat and provides easy walking. Hunting is not allowed on this part of the refuge. This morning, I walked the Liberty Loop Trail with my wife and son. Here are a few of the sights we saw.

My son, Garrett Thomas Summers. He’s almost 12.

Look, Up in the Sky…

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Breaking the Law.” The prompt reads “Think about the last time you broke a rule (a big one, not just ripping the tags off your pillows). Were you burned, or did things turn out for the best?”

Here’s a photo I snapped of a child’s cup. The image was doctored just a bit. Break the law? This guy will get ya!!
