At Dunkin’

Guess it’s been a long day.

At Dunkin’

This day – its sun.
I’m full of its hours:
the people like stone,
the brittle faces –
that damned ice.
Bring the night,
the skulk and roar.
Listen to the crickets,
the troll on its drum,
and the dragon bellow
from the belly
of my coffee cup.
