Pillage

I do find a charm to all that is old and broken; therefore, why clean/repair the shed?

Pillage

Mice, as grey as age,
slip through
the shed wall
where moss
grows thick

and the wood,
as moist as cake,
allows passage
where spiders knit
darkness to shadow,

where sickle
and scythe
tower, rust,
forgotten gods,
and birdseed spills

from woven bags
ambrosia scattered
on the dusty floor.
