Only Whispers

A simple poem for my wife.

Carry You

I want to carry you
the way the wind carries
a leaf fallen

from its tree,
envelop,
provide the grace

you need to dance
above stalks
of autumn grass,

touch,
speak only whispers.

Thought this might be a good one to share here.

  1. I’m a bit tongue-tied here. I just read this. It feels sacred, delicate, powerful. A huge heart-opener. I’ll be allowing these words and intentions to process within for now.

  2. provide the grace | you need to dance Oh Lordy! My heart is thumping. That word GRACE has come to mean so much to me this year. What a beautiful, worshipful piece. And that picture took my breath away before I even GOT to the poem!
