Hiding Soft, Slow, Heavy

Building upon yesterday’s post, here’s some more mythology mixed with my morning commute.

Route 515 – Mile Marker Two

Headlights beam
a large, white

stone sleeping
in the grass,
grass grown tall,

feather tipped –
a white stone

Pegasus reposed,
his wings wrapped

tightly around
his flanks
hiding soft,

slow, heavy
heaves of breath.

      1. Very much so. So heavy when he should have been so light. Heck, you could build a short story around how Pegasus ended up being TURNED to stone. Perhaps Chrysaor did it! They were strange bedfellows as brothers. 🙂
