My Next Poem

Generally, I write a poem everyday. Today, I decided not to write any. Instead, I’ve submitted several poem, close to 20, to various literary journals. I am hopeful, but realistic. Wish me luck.

Now that I’m done submitting, maybe I’ll do some writing. What to write about?

Just beyond
the window’s glass,
under the birch leaf
troubled by a swirling wind,
on the back
of a napping cricket,
breathes
my next poem.

      1. Well, okay, I like this one too. But I really did like those leaves a lot. Maybe because I just love fall so much. But they sort of brightened everything, which made it look fresh. But, then again, if you’re going for the more antique-ish look, this one does that for you. Needless to say, I’m glad you have to make the decision. I have a hard enough time deciding on mine. Ever since they messed with my last theme and took away some of my options, I’ve been struggling to find what I really like. I find one combination that I think is ‘IT,’ but a week later, I’m not happy with it. I’ve changed the background and layout on this one about 4 times in the past 8 weeks. Maybe it’s just a phase I’m going through. I hope so.
