Reverence and a Crab

After a day on the beach…

Reverence

My son
buried
a dead
crab

in the sand
where the surf
shimmers like sheets
of ice.

He prayed,
bowed his head,
but the seagulls
cackle

and the castle
he built
needs
to be stomped.

      1. Of course…I am just constantly amazed that the majority of bloggers spend no time at all on their titles–especially on the Daily Post/Daily Prompt page–usually just using the prompt title. So, when I see a good title I swoop down upon it! and someone who has taken the time to think of a good title has usually put the same care into their post.
