Daily Prompt: The Golden Hour (Dawn)

Today’s prompt asks for Dawn. The photo presented here was taken yesterday as I meandered about my backyard. Although the temperatures are finally dropping here in Northern New Jersey, we have a cluster of marigolds that are still thriving. The photo reminds me of the sun; therefore, it will represent my dawn.

As an added bonus, here’s a poem by William Shakespeare. God bless.

Dawn Song

HARK! hark! the lark at heaven’s gate sings,
And Phœbus ’gins arise,
His steeds to water at those springs
On chaliced flowers that lies;
And winking Mary-buds begin
To ope their golden eyes:
With everything that pretty bin,
My lady sweet, arise!
Arise, arise!
