A Bit of Autumn

Here’s a bit of what I hope to do this weekend. Swim in all that is autumn. I snapped this photo tonight, just before the sun slipped into night.

  1. Wonderful photo. We don’t get much in the way of autumn gold here in NZ – all the native trees and a fair number of the exotic ones are evergreens. There are occasional deciduous trees in gardens and urban settings, but the only real area to have them in any number is around Queenstown, in the south of our South Island (where Shania Twain lives, some of the year!). The literal truth of ‘fall’ and a countryside golden and rich with warm browns and reds is a rare treat for us.
